Digitizing the Gordon County Chert Mine with ReserveAny

Client Overview: Gordon County Chert Mine

Located in North Georgia, the Gordon County Chert Mine is a 114.62-acre facility managed by the Public Works Department. The mine produces chert, a critical road-building material, which is used in county infrastructure projects and sold to the public. However, the mine’s operations have historically required financial support from the county's General Fund due to a revenue shortfall in the Chert Fund. With a mission to improve transparency, streamline ticketing, and modernize operations, Gordon County partnered with SunPlus to implement ReserveAny, a comprehensive digital platform for resource and booking management.

Challenge

Challenge: Manual Processes and Inefficiencies

Prior to ReserveAny, the Chert Mine faced several operational challenges:

  • Manual tracking of chert purchases and vehicle access
  • Inefficient communication and scheduling for resource loading
  • Limited visibility into ticket usage, revenue, and inventory trends
  • No central dashboard for real-time operational oversight
  • Limited auditability and control over access to the mine

These bottlenecks not only affected operational efficiency but also hampered financial transparency and scalability.

Solution: ReserveAny Implementation

SunPlus deployed its ReserveAny platform with custom modules configured for mining operations. The following modules were tailored to meet the Chert Mine’s unique needs:
